The product/service
ONUAVA was founded in Heidelberg in 2022 and is the first comprehensive provider of Fertility & Family Building Benefits services in the DACH region. We are bringing Fertility & Family Building Benefits to the DACH region so that all employees receive optimal support on their individual path to having their dream child, and there will no longer be any unwanted childlessness in DACH in the future. We are a B2B2C company and offer our services exclusively as an employee benefit through companies.
With our platform solution, we take over the end-to-end financial processing and reimbursement of costs when companies support their employees (our members) with the costs of fertility treatments. Our members also have access to medically sound information via our information and advice platform and can receive individual advice on questions about their desire to have children. Low-threshold, easy to access, medically based and anonymous to the employer.

The motivation
Dr. Julia Reichert has experienced infertility herself and is the mother of three children after successful fertility treatment. Looking back, she says that she was very lucky on her journey to having a child and wants others to not have to rely on luck to fulfill their wish of having a child.
Katharina Jung has experienced from friends and acquaintances how stressful a journey to have children can be. She is the mother of a small daughter herself, and the issue of balancing family and work is also a topic close to her heart. And family starts with starting a family.

The idea
With Fertility & Family Building Benefits, companies become talent magnets. Companies become attractive to potential employees, existing employees become more loyal to the company throughout the family-founding phase; It can also be ensured that employees remain healthy, motivated and productive even in difficult phases when starting a family. This is THE benefit for every family-friendly employer, because nothing says family-friendliness more clearly than supporting your employees on their individual path to having their dream child.
The challenge
The biggest challenge is convincing companies to openly address this taboo topic. Managing directors and board members do not always feel comfortable talking openly about infertility, fertility treatment and miscarriage.
The current status
Our platform was launched in July 2023 and we acquired the first customers. Now it is important for us to successfully establish these customers on the platform and then expand customer acquisition.
